Relatively Speaking
Written by Bev Blampied (c)Looking at her world through the stormy sheets of rain
She sees broken branches scattered about her in pain
As there are those who have axed the very root of her foundation
Those who have now passed needless destruction to each new generation
She was one of the many small branches of this now broken family tree
One little branch who always tried so desperately
To keep other branches from cruelly breaking away
Some continued to fall yet some chose to stay
She had naively looked to the branches above
For guidance, strength, security, and love
But now she bends alone beside other trees
Swaying precariously in the wafting breeze
One of the original branches, but now alone she must go
To plant some seeds so her new family tree will grow
